A well-established and growing accountancy practice is seeking a Tax Manager to support their Audit team on all tax-related aspects of statutory audits in South Dublin. This is a pivotal role bridging the Audit and Tax functions, and offers the opportunity to work across a diverse and dynamic client base.
You’ll take the lead on reviewing tax disclosures and provisions in audited financial statements, guide the audit team on technical tax matters, and play a key role in ensuring compliance with current legislation and audit standards. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical side of tax but also wants the visibility and variety of working with multiple teams and clients.
The Role:
Review FRS 102 and IFRS tax disclosures, ensuring they are accurate and compliant.
Provide expert guidance on corporation tax, deferred tax, and other tax-related issues arising during audit engagements.
Act as the central point of contact for tax matters within the audit cycle.
Liaise with the internal tax advisory team where necessary for complex issues.
Support audit teams with the preparation and review of corporation tax computations and returns.
Contribute to internal training for audit staff on tax knowledge and compliance awareness.
Stay current on relevant changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.
Requirements:
Qualified CTA and/or ACA (dual-qualified ideal).
5+ years’ experience in a tax or audit/tax hybrid role within a professional services firm.
Strong working knowledge of Irish corporate tax and accounting for income taxes under FRS 102 / IFRS.
Confident in managing multiple stakeholders and guiding junior staff.
Clear communicator who can explain complex technical matters in practical terms.
Meticulous attention to detail, with a proactive and commercial mindset.
