The Role:
•Preparation and review of financial accounts and tax computations for sole traders, companies, and partnerships.
•Management of a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with Irish accounting standards and regulations.
•Assisting with statutory audits and financial statement preparation in accordance with FRS 102 and IFRS.
•Providing support and advice on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
•Conducting tax planning and compliance work for individuals and corporate clients.
•Liaising with Revenue Commissioners and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
•Participating in business development activities to attract and retain clients.

Requirements:
•Recently qualified accountant a CPA / ACCA / ACA qualification with experience working in a public practice environment.
•Strong attention to detail and technical knowledge.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Strong organisational skills.
•A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
•Experience with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
•Knowledge of Irish tax laws and accounting standards.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Financial Accountant in Athlone. This is an exciting opportunity and there is a broad remit with this role.

It would ideally suit someone with 1-2 years’ PQE with some previous industry experience.

The Role:
•You will assist with month end close and the preparation of a monthly reporting pack.
•Accrual and prepayment reconciliations.
•Preparation of month end reconciliations.
•Responsible for AP,AR & credit control.
•Assist with the preparation of annual statutory financial accounts and audits.
•Provision of monthly Vies/Intrastat/VAT Documentation.
•Provide analysis of financial data and management information for decision-making.
•Dealing with ad-hoc requests as required.

Requirements:
•Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA.CPA or CIMA)
•1-2 years industry experience is preferable, but not essential.
•Excellent business and financial acumen.
•Extensive systems knowledge and computer literacy.
•Ability to work to tight deadlines.

Salary: €50,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
