The Role:
•Preparation and review of financial accounts and tax computations for sole traders, companies, and partnerships.

•Assisting with statutory audits and financial statement preparation in accordance with FRS 102 and IFRS.
•Providing support and advice on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
•Conducting tax planning and compliance work for individuals and corporate clients.
•Liaising with Revenue Commissioners and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
•Participating in business development activities to attract and retain clients.

Requirements:
•Recently qualified accountant a CPA / ACCA / ACA qualification with experience working in a public practice environment.
•Strong attention to detail and technical knowledge.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Strong organisational skills.
•A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
•Experience with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
•Knowledge of Irish tax laws and accounting standards.

BenchMark are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant in County Galway. As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly financial accounts, conducting audits, and performing reconciliations.

Based fully onsite reporting directly to the financial controller, this is a great opportunity for someone to grow their accounting career.

The Role:

• Prepare monthly financial accounts and reports
• Inter-company reconciliations, accruals and prepayments

The Role:
•Posting of bank transactions and preparation of bank reconciliations
•Assisting with the year-end audit
•Preparation of accruals, prepayments, and routine journals
•Maintenance of the GL ledger
•Maintaining the fixed asset register
•VAT returns
•Ad hoc tasks as they arise

Requirements:
•A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a similar position
•A strong understanding of debits and credits
•Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
•Good MS Excel skills
•Ability to work in fast paced environment

Pay: €33,000.00-€38,000.00 per year
