BenchMark are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for an onsite role in Co Meath, where you will play a pivotal role in financial planning, reporting, and business analysis.
This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong commercial mindset, capable of supporting business growth through accurate financial insights.
The Role:
• Oversee and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and clear financial reporting.
• Develop revenue budgets and deliver precise forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct detailed financial and operational analysis, identifying key KPIs and providing recommendations for business managers.
• Maintain an efficient and structured data management system across finance and operational processes, focusing on cost control, pricing strategies, and stock management.
• Assist in external and internal audits, ensuring compliance and preparing required documentation.
• Perform cost and revenue analysis across multiple business units, identifying areas for financial optimisation.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to analyse financial performance, identifying trends and variances with actionable insights.
• Prepare real-time financial reports to assist senior management in decision-making.
• Ensure full balance sheet reconciliations and timely completion of month-end close processes.
• Support in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Manage tax and compliance obligations, ensuring adherence to financial regulations.
Requirements:
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.
• Advanced proficiency in financial IT systems; experience with Sage Intacct or similar software is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working cross-functionally with multiple teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
