The Role:
•Preparation and review of financial accounts and tax computations for sole traders, companies, and partnerships.
•Management of a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with Irish accounting standards and regulations.
•Assisting with statutory audits and financial statement preparation in accordance with FRS 102 and IFRS.
•Providing support and advice on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
•Conducting tax planning and compliance work for individuals and corporate clients.
•Liaising with Revenue Commissioners and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
•Participating in business development activities to attract and retain clients.

Requirements:
•Recently qualified accountant a CPA / ACCA / ACA qualification with experience working in a public practice environment.
•Strong attention to detail and technical knowledge.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Strong organisational skills.
•A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
•Experience with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

BenchMark are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our client in Co
Tipperary.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of financial tasks, including
Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Statutory Accounts, and Management
Accounts.

The role also encompasses other key areas expected of an experienced accountant, ensuring
accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

It will provide you with broad experience in a busy finance function.

The Role:
• Manage the AP process and oversee the AR function.
• Prepare statutory accounts in compliance with Irish GAAP/IFRS.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the year-end audit process.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and
cash flow statements.
• Provide variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately
recorded.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and
balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of VAT returns, corporation tax, and other statutory
filings.
• Analyse financial data to provide insights into business performance and
trends.
• Prepare financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Other Ad Hoc Duties

Qualifications and Experience:
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA qualified.
• A minimum of 2 years PQE in an industry setting.
• Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of Irish GAAP/IFRS.
• Experience in AP, AR, statutory accounts, and management accounts is preferable
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
